Cat Temper is the alias of Boston-based meowsician Mike Langlie, mixing retro Synthpop, Electro, Punk, Hair Metal, and the sounds of 8-bit videogames. He sits on the fringes of the Synthwave movement in a genre his fans have named "Meowave". Like the name implies, Cat Temper switches gears from friendly to ferocious in the blink of an eye or the swish of a tail.

Since 2019 Cat Temper has released 13 albums, including imaginary sci-fi and horror soundtracks and an electronic re-score to David Lynch's cult classic film "Eraserhead".

Album and song titles come from a seemingly endless supply of cat puns, including homages to artists like Nine Inch Nails ("Kitty Hate Machine"), Meat Loaf ("Cat Out of Hell"), Judas Priest (“Purring for Vengeance”) and Duran Duran ("Furio").
